| In the Fifties and Sixties, Santa Fe Railroad launched their "Piggy-Back" service to efficiently move trailers of goods cross-country. Trailers would be backed onto flatcars and "dropped". Then offloaded at their final destination. This revolutionary new service helped save the railroads from long haul truckers. Now, the Santa Fe Piggy-Back has been faithfully recreated. Complete with operational Transtar COE with tilting cab, detailed engine and steerable wheels. The trailer features opening rear doors, adjustable feet and vintage Santa Fe graphic. A very historic collectible. |
